OLIVER HOBKIRK-SMITH

Oliver originally trained as a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, and has since practiced within both Warwickshire, and the prestigious Harley Street/Wimpole Street region, in the City of Westminster, London.

His professional interests include the management of chronic injuries and  chronic pains which have proven impossible to resolve elsewhere, such as chronic low back pain, neck pain, and headaches, osteoarthritis/degenerative joint disease, complex-regional pain, and fibromyalgia etc.

Oliver also works alongside a number of professional sports men and women, to keep them on the pitch or track, through helping them prevent sporting injury, together with assisting them to achieve their optimum level of sporting performance.

Oliver is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

PROFESSOR ROBERT
L. ASHFORD

PODIATRIST
DPODM, BA, BED, MA, MMEDSCI, PHD, FCPM, FFPM RCPS (GLASG), SFHEA, CSCI, MCHS

Renowned in both professional academia, and in private practice: Professor Robert Ashford originally trained within the Glasgow School of Podiatric Medicine, and has enjoyed a rich and expansive career, spanning over four decades.

He has recently been appointed as Dean Elect for the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Furthermore, he has secured ‘Emeritus Status’ from Birmingham City University which he was employed as Director of the Graduate School for many years. The honour was also conferred for his 22 years of academic contribution to the university. He is therefore the first Podiatrist in history to achieve Emeritus Status!

Robert has served within numerous educational institutions and universities across the UK and worldwide, including: Queens University of Belfast, Birmingham City University, Middlesex, Derby, Staffordshire, Brighton, Universidad Complutense De Madrid, Helsinki Polytechnic, Glasgow School of Podiatry, Northern Ireland School of Podiatric Medicine and more. His roles but to name a few have included that of Professor of Podiatry, Senior Lecturer, Head of School, Director of Post Grad Research Degrees, Route Director for BSc and MSc Podiatry programmes, MSc Podiatry supervisor and supervision of many PhD/MPhil/DProf research degrees.

He’s proud to have published over 140 research articles within peer reviewed medical journals (many of which are in the area of chronic pain management), in addition to chapters he’s written for medical textbooks.

Robert is a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and as Dean of the Faculty is Chairman of its Executive Board. He is also a clinical examiner for the College. He also holds Fellowship of the College of Podiatric Medicine and a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Association. He was honoured in 2014 with an meritorious award from the College of Podiatry, London.

It is our privilege to have Robert providing services in both Clinical Podiatry and Chiropody, and Biomechanical Podiatry (including Gait and Movement Patten Analysis using the OptoGait System, Foot Posture Index Scanning using the Delcam iQube Scanner, and custom orthotic prescription).

HEIDI MARIE MURFIN

PODIATRIST
BSC (HONS) PODIATRY MCHS

Heidi has demonstrated a standard of excellence within Podiatry from the onset of her career, achieving a prestigious first class honours to her Bachelor of Science in Podiatric Medicine.

Her strengths lie in the sheer diversity to her clinical practice: Having worked within a range of NHS trusts, in addition her private practice, she has built an invaluable catalogue of experience in Podiatric Medicine. Her research focused and evidence-based scope of practice sees her treat a vast array of conditions affecting the foot, ankle, knee hip, and low back.

Due to her clinical success, Heidi has also been contracted to provide Biomechancial Assessment and Gait Analysis for an expanse of both professional and amateur athletes within football, rugby, tennis, golf, and athletics.

Its our privilege to have Heidi providing services in both Clinical Podiatry and Chiropody, and Biomechanical Podiatry (including Gait and Movement Patten Analysis using the OptoGait System, Foot Posture Index Scanning using the Delcam iQube Scanner, and custom orthotic prescription).

Heidi is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is a Member of the Society of Chiropodist & Podiatrists (SCPOD).

ADRIAN BURMAN

RADIOGRAPHER & SONOGRAPHER
BSC (HONS) RADIOGRAPHY, PGDIP ULTRASONOGRAPHY, PG CERT MUSCULOSKELETAL US

Following a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) degree, Adrian went on to complete a second Bachelor of Science (with Honours) degree in Diagnostic Radiography at University of Central England in Birmingham. Thereafter, he practiced for several years within the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital Birmingham.

Adrian subsequently went on to specialise in Diagnostic Ultrasonography (sonography), covering traditional areas of Ultrasonography (sonography), such as abdominal, gynaecological, vascular, before specialising further in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography (MSK sonography).

Adrian has provided Musculoskeletal Ultrasound services to General Practices, Hospitals and Private Clinics, reviewing a wide variety of clinical presentations.

Furthermore, he proudly provides Ultrasound support to the medical device company Sonosite / Fujifilm and Mindray UK, as a Clinical Application Specialist for point of care.

Adrian is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). He is a Member of the Society and College of Radiographers. Adrians company, Arden Forest Ultrasound Limited are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

BENJAMIN JAMES

DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC
DC MCHIRO (AECC)

Ben originally trained as a Doctor of Chiropractic at the world-renowned Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC), and has since practiced within Cheshire, and the West Midlands.

In addition to clinical practice, he has also spent time working in the Medical Industry supporting surgeons in reconstructive surgery of soft tissue injuries. His time working within the medical industry has focused his professional interests on rehabilitation and movement to take a long term, proactive and preventative approach to clinical practice. Ben has a particular interest in clinical biomechanics and functional medicine relating to the management of chronic low back pain that has proven difficult to treat elsewhere.

A health enthusiast himself, Ben is keen to educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices to enhance their recovery, improve their overall health, and support both injury resilience and athletic performance.

Ben is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

CHLOE CASHMORE

DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC

Chloe graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth, and since then has completed the Veterinary Chiropractic course under the International Association of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC). Following on from university studies, she has completed numerous courses to deepen her diagnostic strategies, and treatment and rehabilitation techniques.

Professionally, she takes an interest in patients presenting with neurological conditions, trapped nerves and Whiplash disorder, though believes Chiropractic has its place in treating a variety of Musculoskeletal disorders for people in all walks of life. Away from the clinics, Chloe runs a Sports and Veterinary Chiropractic business where she treats elite sportspeople, racing drivers, riders, horses and dogs.

Chloe is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) and Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC).

Jessica Nash Chiropractor Henley In Arden

JESSICA NASH

DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC
DC MSc CHIROPRACTIC (AECC) BSC (HONS)

Jess is passionate about addressing the whole person and understanding the root cause of a patient’s pain. Having experienced musculoskeletal injuries first-hand, Jess can truly relate to patients and understands the influence that emotional, physical and biochemical factors can have on an individual’s condition. These experiences aid her professional ability to work in partnership with patients to help implement realistic management and goals.

After achieving a first class BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from Aberystwyth University, Jess knew she wanted to extend her knowledge and specialise further. With this ambition, she undertook a Masters in Chiropractic at the AECC University College in Bournemouth. Here she was able to build on the foundations gained at undergraduate level and build the clinical experience to be able to help patients of all walks of life. She enjoys working with both sporting individuals and the general population to improve lives and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal function and performance.

Jess is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is an active member of the British Chiropractic Association. She strongly believes in lifelong learning and attends regular professional education to continue providing evidence-based and specialised care for her patients.

LAUREN BRIGHT

Lauren has a passion for health, well-being and caring for others which inspired her to pursue a career in Chiropractic. She originally trained at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with a BSc (Hons) in Human Sciences and a Masters degree in Chiropractic. She has since practiced within Dorset and London prior to recently moving to Warwickshire and joining the Pain and Injury Clinic.

Lauren experienced the benefits of Chiropractic care when studying in her teens, with relief from her daily headaches, neck and back pain. She now finds being able to help people in the same way incredibly rewarding.

Professionally, she takes an interest in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. She is keen in helping support clients to take an active role in managing their pain through exercise and healthy lifestyle choices. 

In particular, she has extensive experience and further post-graduate training in pregnancy, post-natal care, and paediatrics. Hence, within her daily practice she see’s large a number of babies and children, as well as women who are either pregnant, or postnatal.

Lauren is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

MARCUS CHUTER

DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC

Marcus graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic with a First Class Masters in Chiropractic. Five years of studying enhanced his breadth of knowledge within the management and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal injuries. Originally from the Warwickshire area, he is looking forward to returning and being able to provide care to his patients. Marcus offers a wide array of evidence-based manual treatments to the patients he looks after. Furthermore, he believes patient education and functional rehabilitation are essential complements to hands-on chiropractic care.

Marcus has enjoyed the opportunity of working with professional football clubs, offering chiropractic care to the players. Sports injury management is of huge interest of him; an interest he developed as young sportsman suffering from recurrent injuries. These events as such, led Marcus into the chiropractic profession, and it’s now his mission to pass on his wealth of knowledge about how chiropractic care can work to treat and help prevent sporting injuries, as well as optimise sporting performance. Amongst football, Marcus enjoys keeping fit and healthy with partaking in sports such a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, road cycling and general gym and fitness.

Marcus is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). He is also a member of the Royal College of Chiropractic (RCC) and an associate of the RCC sports faculty (RCCSF).

Andrew trained as a Doctor of Chiropractic at the world-renowned Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC). His time working within the prestigious AECC clinic refined his research informed, evidence-based scope of clinical practice. Diverse in his diagnostic and treatment strategies, he see’s a wide range of patients from all walks and stages of life; including those suffering with Back pain & Sciatica, Neck pain, Headaches, Shoulder, Elbow & Wrist problems, Hip, Knee, & Ankle problems, Osteoarthritis /‘Wear & Tear’ / ‘Old Age’ etc.

A keen sportsman himself, his professional interests include the treatment and rehabilitation of sports related injuries, and the optimisation of athletic performance for sports men and women within their chosen discipline.

Andrew is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.
